  • Galvanize - Denver (Platte) 1644 Platte Street Denver, CO, 80202 United States (map)

About SIM TANK

SIM TANK is SIM Colorado’s way of supporting the local technology community by donating to local STEM initiatives and Start-Ups. Based on the popular ABC program “Shark Tank,” SIM TANK is SIM Colorado’s annual event in which four Denver-area startups pitch their product or service. Local investors and mentors quiz the companies, vet the competition, and then decide on a winner. The winning startup is presented with a check at the end of the night! STEM organizations and projects also submit an application to receive funding and are awarded a donation at SIM TANK. Donation amounts to both the Start-Up and the STEM initiatives are directly determined by sponsor commitments.

Register FREE here! (NOTE: While we and the sharks will be at Galvanize in Denver, this is a REMOTE VIEW event)

Expanding Reach & Impact

A recent study of over 1,100 companies found those promoting collaborative working were 5 times as likely to be high performing, yet only 20% of employees are actively engaged at work. As organizations, teams, and leaders face increasing challenges that are disrupting nearly every industry and community, the way we work together needs to get better faster.

With a way to rapidly improve the dynamics of organizational, team and leadership decisions, Better Practice is a methodology that helps groups and individuals build more productive collaborations and improve performance. With certified instructors in 5 countries, dozens of organizations and over a thousand practitioners in its community, Better Practice is accelerating better outcomes in business, science, and academia.

We intend to expand our reach and impact by multiple orders of magnitude over the next 3 years. Combining innovations from education, learning, game design, and technology we are creating a digital experience for individuals, teams, organizations, and communities to improve decision-making, collaboration, and leadership when they need it most while thoroughly enjoying the game.

Thank you to SIM Colorado for their contributions to the community supporting children's engagement with STEM and entrepreneurial activities and for the opportunity to test our ideas in the crucible of the SIM Tank!
