Use the Power of the Overview Effect

Creating an Enterprise Process Map with a team, department, company, project, etc. goes beyond creating a clear picture of what you are doing together. Those who have experienced the process report a better understanding and appreciation for what we do and why we do it. Just as astronauts report a deep cognitive shift in awareness by seeing Earth from outer space, you too can gain perspective and clarity by seeing your organization from an overview.

The foundation of all Better Practice programs is the Accelerator Workshop. Each workshop consists of individual preparation followed by three group sessions. Scheduling is adjusted to your needs and requirements.

Enterprise Process Design​

Together with your team, we will map your enterprise process. For each step, we will help you capture the description, owner, actors, inputs, outputs, tools and any known gaps or opportunities for improvement.

Enterprise Process Mapping engages a cross-functional group to create an end-to-end picture of the core business process that can be easily understood by employees, explained to new hires and shared with potential investors.  

Together, we will distill the collective enterprise knowledge of the participants into a context level diagram of the entire enterprise process using a disciplined method and standard (BPMN 2.0).  

The enterprise process map is typically completed within a two-week period. The effort begins with two group sessions. Six and four hours in duration (respectively), these sessions begin first thing in the morning and are held over two consecutive days. These are followed by approximately one week of individual work to elaborate on each step in the process. The final four-hour session is to review and refine the process map and details as a group.

6-12 months of support will help you drive adoption as well as adapt and extend what you’ve learned to support scale.​
